Heather Gorham

Heather, ‘HG’, is responsible for sourcing, executing, supporting, and leading investment. She focuses on backing technical founders pursuing opportunities in non-obvious markets, with a particular interest in those pursuing complex technological innovations and building technology that bets on behavior shifts. Additionally, HG focuses on the fund’s investments at the intersection of science and machine learning, including sectors such as materials science, biotechnology, and energy. Prior to joining Flying Fish, HG held roles at JP Morgan Technology Banking, ON Semi, and Tesla. HG held also spent time working on the opensource Hyperloop project for universities.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her two dogs and working towards her private pilot’s license. She is also a co-founder and board member of Northwest Venture Network (NVN), an association that supports emerging investors across the Pacific Northwest.

HG holds a B.S. from W.P. Carey School of Business with a focus in Consumer Behavior.
